Not Just Another Lavender Tour

While others stop at crowded roadside fields, we take you to:
Private or lesser-known lavender plots used by local photographers
The Abbey de Sénanque at golden hour when light is soft and crowds are gone
Authentic stops: a family-run distillery (in season) or a lavender soap artisan
Personalized pacing: more photos? more history? your guide adapts in real time

9:00 AM – Scenic Pickup & Welcome
We greet you with chilled beverages and set off toward the Luberon or Valensole Plateau, depending on the day’s best bloom conditions. As we drive through olive groves and hilltop villages, your guide shares stories of lavender’s history, harvest, and healing traditions.

10:00 AM – Sénanque Abbey & First Light
Arrive early at the iconic Abbey of Sénanque near Gordes. Capture stunning, quiet photos of the abbey framed by vibrant lavender fields during the beautiful cool morning light.

11:30 AM – Valensole Plateau & Artisan Stop
Journey to the heart of lavender country. We visit a family-run distillery where you can witness the distillation process, learn about the different lavender types, and sample local products like lavender honey and essential oils.

12:45 PM – Personalized Lunch Experience (Your Choice)
This private tour allows you to customize your midday break:

Option 1: Gourmet Field Picnic (Recommended)

Enjoy a curated, luxury picnic served in a shaded, picturesque spot near the lavender fields. Our picnic features regional specialties, including artisanal cheeses, charcuterie, fresh bread, and chilled local wine or rosé. This provides a truly immersive, unrushed Provençal experience.

Option 2: Traditional Restaurant Meal

Prefer a sit-down experience? We will reserve a table at a carefully selected local bistro or farmhouse restaurant known for its authentic Provençal cuisine. This option allows you to sample local seasonal dishes while enjoying the atmosphere of a typical village setting.
(Note: Cost of restaurant meal is not included in the tour price.)

2:30 PM – Hidden Fields & Photography Opportunities

After lunch, we explore a secluded, less-trafficked lavender field known only to locals, offering unparalleled photo opportunities and quiet reflection time. We take our time here, ensuring you capture perfect memories.

4:30 PM – Homeward Bound

Depart from the fields, traveling back to your accommodation via scenic routes, aiming to arrive in Aix or Avignon in the late afternoon.
